The threat of rain drove the picnic inside the rambling, generous space of the St Anthony Falls Lab, but the 300 guests were treated to some heart and soul warming food and drink as they strolled along gangplanks and up and down industrial stairways. In bowls big enough to bathe twins, and platters large enough to present sucklings, they selected from mountains of Greek Salad, Orzo Pasta Salad, Oven Roasted Potatoes, Cumin-Scented Sauteed Rice, Spinach Feta Boughatsas, Melitzana and Tyro Dips, and then proceeded to create their own fantasy sandwiches with selections of Gyros and tender Chicken oven-braised in olive oil, lemon, garlic and Greek oregano. Afterwards they wandered back down to the main level where a sixteen foot dessert table enticed them with trays of Baklava, Milopita and Chocolate or Lemon Cream Boughatsas. They used dinner plates for their selections. We took the dessert plates back to the Gardens.
